Last winter, our Night Shelter ran for 128 consecutive nights, providing 1,920 lifesaving beds for people who would otherwise have been facing a night on the streets. WNS Season Summary 25-26 WNS Season Summary 25-26
Making that possible was an incredible community effort, with 469 volunteers supporting UnityMK across the winter season, both at our Night Shelter venues and at Unity Park Station. WNS Season Summary 25-26
Now we’re getting ready to do it all again, and there are lots of ways to get involved.
We currently have opportunities across Milton Keynes, including cooking and kitchen roles, evening set-up, overnight duty, morning set-down and breakfast, reception and café support, guest support and minibus driving.
Whether you can volunteer regularly or give just a few hours when you can, every shift plays a part in helping us provide a safe, warm and welcoming place for people facing homelessness.
New to UnityMK? You’ll be very welcome, and we’ll give you the information and training you need to get started.
